School Programs

The Milan Fire Department works closely with all of our schools and daycares in the Milan community to assist them in planning and preparing for an emergency event.  The department can assist with training in the areas of pre-planning, CPR/AED, first-aid, fire extinguishers, and emergency drills.

The department has partnered with Milan High School offering a Junior Fire Academy each year that allows students to learn important safety tips, and insight into the profession of firefighters.  During the academy, students are exposed to knowledge and skills needed in the Fire, EMS, Rescue, and emergency service profession utilizing guest speakers, live demonstrations, and some hands-on experience.
